Editor's Summary: Netscape and Sun are trying to come up with a fix for a Java security chink. More than a week ago, a Silicon Valley computer consultant found a way to view another computer's files by exploiting some Java-related flaws in the Netscape Navigator and Netscape Communicator browsers. Until Sun and Netscape think of something to do from their ends, a properly configured corporate firewall should protect enterprise users. At least that's the popular opinion among silicon circles. |
