Article Title:  Sun, Microsoft tackle security flaws
Source:  InfoWorld
URL:  http:// http://www.idg.net/ic_213102_1794_9-10000.h...
Date:  08 Aug 2000
Editor's Summary:
Sun and Microsoft are investigating security flaws that have popped up involving the use of Java in Netscape's Navigator browser and a Trojan-horse-style intrusion in Microsoft Word documents. The Java bug makes use of Netscape's Java implementation to let an unsigned Java applet read and dispense files from a user's computer. The issue can be prevented by disabling Java, but Sun and Netscape are still working on confirming and finding a solution for the bug.
